Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

Despite my frustration yesterday, the music thing is going a bit better. I listened to the Beatles, a whole album of theirs for the first time in my life, and it was pretty good. I might get some more once I've finished this epic task. 

My shipment from Barsuk arrived today. I can't express how much I love them. So I buy 5 CDs (Death Cab EP, Viva Voce, Starlight Mints, John Vanderslice, WMMF) and they give me free stickers and a free poster of You Can Play These Songs With Chords (i.e. the picture of Bellingham when there were cooler cars). They are so brilliant. The only problem with buying new music is that I now want to listen to it, but I have to wait until I get to the right place in the alphabet to do so - for Viva Voce it's going to be a long wait. 

But I'm progressing fairly rapidly, on Beck now, getting towards my first milestone  - Ben Gibbard. 

And I'm doing work. Well, not right now, but I am. Honest.

I started a mog today. I don't know why, but I thought I would, so I did. Haven't posted anything on there, don't know if I will yet. Maybe once I've started listening to the same bands over and over again. 

My Tegan and Sara CD was dispatched today, so I'll be getting that soon, and be able to watch the Con movie, starring T&S and Chris Walla. It's going to be funny, I've been watching loads of clips of Tegan and Sara's on stage banter on YouTube, and they're just so amusing. Yeah. This is how I spend my life. 

It's Matthew Caws' birthday today. Happy Birthday to him. 

I have to go back and do some more work now. I wish Beck's album would finish already, but I'm only just about half way through. Gah.
